Job summary

Freighter Group seeks two qualified Fabricators, Welders (Boilermakers) or Vehicle Body Builders to join our Brooklyn facility. You will manufacture, assemble, modify, repair and maintain transport equipment to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Ideal candidates hold a trade qualification in Fabrication or Welding, have strong welding and metalworking skills, can read drawings, and prioritize safety and teamwork. Full-time positions available in Australia’s leading trailer manufacturer.

Qualifications

• Trade-qualified in Fabrication, Welding (Boilermaking), Vehicle Body Building, or equivalent.
• Strong welding, fabrication and metalworking skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Commitment to workplace safety, quality workmanship and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, assemble, fit and repair truck, trailer and transport bodies to specification.
• Perform cutting, bending, welding, assembly and finishing activities.
• Fabricate and weld steel, aluminium and stainless-steel components.
• Modify, repair and maintain vehicle bodies, trailers and accessories.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, plans and job orders.
• Ensure all work complies with quality, design and safety standards.
• Maintain tools, equipment and a safe, clean work environment.
• Contribute to the manufacture of Australia’s market-leading semi-trailers.

Your Role: Build Quality and Deliver Excellence

As a Qualified Fabricator, Welder, or Vehicle Body Builder, you will be responsible for manufacturing, assembling, modifying, repairing, and maintaining transport equipment and vehicle bodies to the highest standards of quality and safety.
