Job summary

Just Automotive Recruitment seeks an experienced Body Builder (Trailers) to join a skilled workshop team in Minto, NSW. The role involves repairing, rebuilding and fabricating trailer components across various trailer types and transport equipment.

The position requires post-apprenticeship experience in trailer or heavy vehicle repairs, strong MIG welding and fabrication skills, and the ability to work independently within a small team. Ongoing training and career development are offered.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification as a Body Builder, Panel Beater or similar heavy vehicle trade.
• Post-apprenticeship experience in trailer, heavy vehicle or transport equipment repairs.
• Strong MIG welding and steel fabrication skills.
• Ability to work independently while contributing positively within a small team.
• Pride in workmanship with strong attention to detail and ability to manage job paperwork.

Responsibilities

• Perform trailer body repairs, rebuilds and structural fabrication work on a wide range of trailer types.
• Carry out MIG welding on predominantly steel components, including chassis, uprights and corner posts.
• Repair and replace trailer components such as curtain truck sections, crash bars, toolboxes, underrun protection systems and nose cones.
• Complete basic electrical repairs and maintenance, including lighting systems.
• Maintain accurate job documentation and ensure all work meets quality and safety standards.
