Job summary

Contour Education in Australia seeks a passionate VCE Chemistry Tutor to deliver clear, structured lessons to small groups and individual students. You will guide 8–20 learners, building understanding and exam technique while sharing your love of learning.

Ideal candidates have 99+ ATAR with 45+ raw study score in Chemistry, university-level chemistry knowledge, and the energy to mentor, coach and connect with students. Evening and weekend slots fit around uni.

Qualifications

• 99+ ATAR with 45+ raw study score in Chemistry
• First-year university level knowledge or above in Chemistry
• Strong communication skills and the ability to simplify complex concepts
• Energy, empathy, independence and a proactive mindset
• A full academic year commitment with 10+ hours weekly availability
• Alignment with Contour’s mission (Signed NDA and non-compete agreement required)
• A genuine passion for helping students succeed

Responsibilities

• Teach clear, structured VCE Chemistry 1/2 and 3/4 lessons
• Coach students to engage with content and practice deliberately
• Mentor with study strategies to build student confidence
• Connect with students to keep them supported and motivated
