Job summary

Contour Education in Melbourne is seeking motivated VCE Chemistry Tutors to lead engaging group classes (8–20 students) and help students build confidence while mastering Chemistry and exam technique.

Qualifications

• 99+ ATAR with 45+ raw score in Chemistry (or equivalent mastery).
• First-year university level knowledge or above in Chemistry.
• Strong communication and the ability to simplify complex concepts.
• A full academic year commitment with 10+ hours weekly availability and alignment with Contour’s mission (NDA and non-compete required).

Responsibilities

• Teach clear, structured VCE Chemistry lessons (1/2 and 3/4) building understanding and exam technique.
• Coach students to engage with content, practice deliberately, and improve weekly.
• Mentor with study strategies to build student confidence.
• Connect with students to provide support and motivation.

What You Will Do

• Teach - You’ll deliver clear, structured VCE Chemistry 1/2 and 3/4 lessons that build conceptual understanding and exam technique.
• Coach - Motivate students to engage with content, practice deliberately, and improve week-to-week.
• Mentor - Share study strategies and relatable stories to build student confidence.
• Connect - Build genuine connections so students feel supported and motivated.

What You Will Bring

• 99+ ATAR with 45+ raw study score in Chemistry (or equivalent subject mastery)
• First-year university level knowledge or above in Chemistry
• Strong communication skills and the ability to simplify complex concepts
