Job summary

AbbVie Inc. is seeking a Value & Access Manager to lead PBAC, MSAC and PHARMAC submissions and shape market access strategies ensuring timely, sustainable access to AbbVie’s portfolio in Australia and New Zealand.

You will collaborate with local, regional and global teams, providing payer insights for strategy, evidence generation and pricing decisions, while aligning with portfolio planning and resource allocation.

Qualifications

• Advanced understanding of PBAC, MSAC and PHARMAC processes.
• Experience in market access, health economics or related roles within the pharmaceutical industry.
• Knowledge of the ANZ healthcare system and reimbursement processes.
• Ability to lead projects independently, including management of external vendors and timelines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for HTA submissions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare PBAC, MSAC and PHARMAC submissions with clear, evidence-based content, with accountability for quality, alignment and timelines.
• Serve as the market access lead on cross-functional teams, delivering payer insights to shape strategy and inform planning.
• Contribute to reimbursement feasibility assessments for pipeline assets to support portfolio prioritisation.
• Monitor evolving reimbursement and policy landscape in Australia and New Zealand and support stakeholder engagement.
• Collaborate with regional and global teams to ensure local access insights inform evidence planning and pricing strategy.
• Provide input into reimbursement and pricing assumptions for financial planning cycles
• Represent AbbVie externally with Department of Health, Medicines Australia and external experts relevant to portfolio
• Adhere to AbbVie’s WHS programs and internal codes of conduct and compliance processes.
• Other ad hoc duties as requested.
