Job summary

Geosurv, a Sydney-based surveying, geospatial and utilities specialist, is seeking an experienced Utility Surveyor to join our expanding Utilities team and work on major NSW infrastructure projects.

You will capture accurate survey data for underground and above-ground infrastructure, operate GNSS/GPS and total stations, and collaborate with Utility Locators and project teams to deliver reliable utility information to clients.

Qualifications

• Relevant surveying qualification or equivalent industry experience.
• Experience with GNSS/GPS and total stations.
• Experience surveying utilities, civil or infrastructure projects.
• Strong interpretation of plans and construction drawings.
• Current Driver's Licence and White Card.

Responsibilities

• Survey underground and above-ground utility infrastructure
• Capture utility positions, depths, levels and attributes
• Operate GNSS/GPS, total stations and survey equipment
• Establish and verify survey control
• Complete feature and detail surveys
• Work alongside Utility Locators on underground service investigations
• Interpret utility plans, drawings and BYDA information
• Complete field checks, QA and accurate project records
• Provide survey data for utility plans and client deliverables

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Utility Surveyor to join our growing Utilities team.

Combining surveying and underground utilities, you will work in the field capturing accurate survey and spatial data for underground and above-ground infrastructure.

Working alongside Utility Locators, Surveyors and project teams, you will help deliver accurate utility information our clients can rely on.

What You Will Be Doing

• Survey underground and above-ground utility infrastructure

What We Are Looking For

• Surveying qualification or relevant industry experience
• Experience using GNSS/GPS and total stations
• Previous surveying experience within utilities, civil or infrastructure
• Strong understanding of survey control and field data capture
• Ability to interpret plans and construction drawings
• Understanding of AS 5488 highly regarded
• Utility locating, GPR or electromagnetic locating experience highly regarded
• Current Driver's Licence and White Card
