Job summary

Geosurv is expanding and we're seeking experienced NDD Operators to join our Utility Investigations & Maintenance division across NSW. You will operate brand-new VTI trucks, delivering safe and precise vacuum excavation, potholing and utility investigation services.

Essentially you will read DBYD plans, perform pre-start inspections and document QA records while coordinating with locators, surveyors, supervisors and clients.

Qualifications

• Experience operating NDD or Combo JetVac trucks.
• Ability to read DBYD plans and service drawings.
• Strong commitment to WHS and safe excavation practices.
• HR Licence and White Card are essential.
• Physically fit and capable of working in outdoor environments.

Responsibilities

• Operate NDD and Combo JetVac trucks.
• Complete potholing, vacuum excavation and utility exposure works.
• Read and interpret DBYD plans and utility drawings.
• Conduct pre-start inspections and routine equipment maintenance.
• Complete site documentation, risk assessments and QA records.
• Work closely with utility locators, surveyors, supervisors and clients.
• Maintain high safety and operational standards at all times.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate NDD and Combo JetVac trucks
• Complete potholing, vacuum excavation and utility exposure works
• Read and interpret DBYD plans and utility drawings
• Conduct pre-start inspections and routine equipment maintenance
• Complete site documentation, risk assessments and QA records
• Work closely with utility locators, surveyors, supervisors and clients
• Maintain high safety and operational standards at all times

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience operating NDD or Combo JetVac trucks
• Strong understanding of underground utilities and safe excavation practices
• Experience interpreting DBYD plans and service drawings
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong commitment to WHS and safe work practices

Essential Requirements

• Reliable and professional attitude

Highly Regarded

• Experience operating VTI, Cappellotto, Kaiser, Kroll, BGI or SpoutVac units
• Confined Space Entry
• High Pressure Water Jetting
• Asbestos Awareness
• Utility locating or civil construction experience
