Job summary

A disability services provider in Gladstone is seeking dedicated support staff to assist clients in achieving their goals per their NDIS plans. The role involves helping with daily activities such as dressing, bathing, and providing transportation. Ideal candidates will have a Certificate 3 or 4 in individual support, a strong understanding of the NDIS guidelines, and the ability to work with diverse clients. Immediate start requires an active Blue Card. Ongoing training will be provided.

Position Summary:

• provide support to clients in accordance withtheir NDIS plan.
  
• Assistclients with daily living activities, such as eating,dressing, bathing and grooming.
  
• Provide transportation assistance to clients.
  
• Provide respite care to clients and theirfamilies.
  
• Keep accurate andup to date records or clients' care plans andprogress.
  
• Communicateeffectively with clients, their families, and other membersof the care team.
  
• Followhealth and safety regulations to ensure the safety andwell-being of clients.
  
• Participate in ongoing professional development to staycurrent with latest developments and best practices in the NDISfield.
  

Requirements

• A minimum of high school or equivalent.
  
• Certificate 3 or 4 in individual supportor willing to work towards completion(highlyregarded).
  
• Previous experience working with mental health, or willing to work with one
  
• Willingness to work with Child Safety Clients, previous experience is highly regarded!
  
• With an active Blue Card (MANDATORY BEFORE START)
• Day shift, night shifts, sleepovers andweekends.
  
• Strongunderstanding of the NDIS and its guidelines.
  
• Understanding of health and safetyregulations.
