Job summary

ForHealth Group is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Urgent Care service. You will triage, assess and treat patients in a fast-paced environment, ensuring safe, efficient care and accurate documentation.

Applicants must hold current AHPRA registration, be available evenings and weekends, and have 3+ years in ED/triage/ICU or rural nursing. Working with Children’s and police checks may be required; strong communication and autonomous practice are essential.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration as an Registered Nurse.
• Available evenings and weekends.
• Minimum 3 years nursing experience; ED/triage/ICU/Rural.
• Working with Children’s check, National Police check and International police check where relevant.
• Ability to assess health deterioration and escalate appropriately.
• Strong written and verbal communication; attention to detail.
• Capable of autonomous practice.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for patients in urgent care — triage with accuracy and empathy.
• Conduct thorough nursing triage and prioritise patient care.
• Act decisively in critical moments to escalate emergencies when needed.
• Perform hands-on procedures such as suturing and plastering.
• Maintain meticulous documentation to support continuity of care.
• Deliver patient-centered care in collaboration with families and medical practitioners.
• Promote workplace health and safety through active participation in safety initiatives.
