Job summary

ForHealth Group in Sydney is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Urgent Care Service. You will triage, provide front line nursing care and collaborate with the Urgent Care Medical Practitioner to identify appropriate patients for our service.

The successful candidate will have 3+ years in ED/triage/ICU, be available evenings and weekends, and hold AHPRA RN registration. ForHealth offers a supportive team, ongoing training and a strong focus on patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
• Must be available evenings and weekends.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Emergency Department, triage, or ICU/CCU/remote nursing.

Responsibilities

• Be first point of contact for patients in urgent care, triaging with accuracy, empathy and confidence.
• Conduct thorough nursing triage and prioritize care for best outcomes.
• Identify emergencies or deterioration and escalate promptly to safeguard patient health.
• Perform hands-on procedural care such as suturing and plastering in a fast-paced setting.
• Adapt to dynamic changes and deliver patient-centered care.
• Collaborate with patients, families, carers and practitioners to ensure quality care.
• Educate patients to help them reach health goals and improve wellbeing.
• Maintain meticulous documentation for continuity of care and standards of practice.
• Support workplace health and safety initiatives and report hazards.
