Blacktown City Council is seeking a planning professional to join the Urban Planning and Economic Development team. You will research land use, transport, housing, environmental and community issues and convert legislation, evidence and stakeholder input into practical planning advice.

Your week includes preparing reports, developing planning strategies and responding to government planning initiatives, with GIS mapping and data maintenance responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Degree in planning or related field.
• Experience in urban planning.
• Understanding of NSW planning legislation.
• Ability to communicate complex information clearly.
• Project management and prioritisation across multiple tasks.

Responsabilités

• Prepare reports and recommendations.
• Develop planning strategies, policies, and environmental planning instruments.
• Contribute to community consultation and development control plans.
• Draft responses to State Government planning initiatives.
• Maintain Section 10.7 Planning Certificate data and GIS mapping layers.
