Job summary

You will research planning issues, assist with planning studies, and support the preparation and monitoring of planning controls.

Qualifications

• Currently studying a qualification in planning or a related field.
• Interest in planning research and policy development.
• Ability to collaborate with colleagues, developers and the public.

Responsibilities

• Research planning issues and assist with planning studies and strategic plans.
• Support the preparation and monitoring of planning controls.
• Assist with development applications and provide planning information to developers, Council staff and the public.
• Work with consultants and other organisations to build knowledge of planning legislation and day-to-day decisions.
• Contribute to decisions about development and long-term city planning.
