St Vincent’s Hospital Sydney invites applications for a Postgraduate Fellow – Upper GIT Surgery. This is a 12-month temporary, part-time role (0.6 FTE) in the Upper GIT Surgery department, based at St Vincent’s Public Hospital in Sydney.

The successful candidate will gain exposure to a wide range of benign and malignant upper GI conditions, plus HPB and advanced laparoscopic procedures, with some robotic exposure.

Formación

• Fellowship of the RACS in General Surgery or equivalent.
• Eligible for AHPRA registration.
• Evidence of continuing medical education and audit practices.
• Sound knowledge in Upper GI Surgery.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise junior medical staff.

Responsabilidades

• Gain exposure to benign and malignant upper GI pathologies and surgeries.
• Exposure to robotic surgery where available.
• Cover general surgery on-call on nominated days.
• Collaborate with Head of Department and Stream Director in managing registrars.
• Participate in surgical skill courses and clinical/basic research.
