Job summary

St Vincent's Private Hospital Toowoomba is seeking a Postgraduate Fellow in Upper GI Surgery for a temporary 12-month position. The role is 0.6 FTE and will focus on exposure to a wide range of upper GI procedures including benign and malignant disease, with opportunities to participate in robotic surgery, on-call coverage, and research activities.

The successful candidate will work under the Head of Department and Stream Director, supporting registrars and contributing to teaching and quality

Qualifications

• Fellowship of the RACS in General Surgery or equivalent is required.
• AHPRA registration or eligibility must be demonstrated.
• Experience in upper GI surgery with exposure to benign and malignant pathology is essential.

Responsibilities

• Gain experience in upper GI surgery and related pathologies.
• Participate in robotic surgery where available.
• Support and supervise registrars and contribute to on-call rosters.
• Engage in surgical skills courses and clinical research opportunities.
