Job summary

St Vincent's Hospital Sydney invites applications for a Postgraduate Fellow – Upper GI Surgery. This is a temporary part-time role (12 months) at 0.6 FTE, with exposure to benign and malignant upper GI diseases and related procedures, including laparoscopic and some robotic surgery.

You will work with the Head of Department and Surgical Training Director, supporting registrars and participating in teaching and research activities.

Qualifications

• Registration with AHPRA or eligibility required.
• Fellowship of the RACS in General Surgery or equivalent.
• Evidence of Continuing Medical Education and self-monitoring/audit practices.

Responsibilities

• Gain exposure to upper GI pathology and diverse surgical procedures.
• Assist in acute surgical unit and cover general surgery on-call as scheduled.
• Work with senior leadership to coordinate registrars and support training.
