Job summary

City of Moreton Bay is seeking a motivated university student to support the Cultural Activation team in North Lakes. The role is part-time (3–5 days a week) and runs for 12 months or the duration of your undergraduate studies.

You will help with administration, event delivery and workshop support, gaining hands‑on experience in a fast‑paced government environment. You must be enrolled in an arts or creative industries degree and able to work a minimum of three full days per week, contributing

• $38.05 per hour + 12% super (level 1)

As a student with our Cultural Activation team, you will provide valuable administrative and operational support and assistance - ranging from the development, promotion and delivery of hands‑on workshops and live music events to multi‑arts festivals and temporary public art projects.

You could find yourself working in an organisation in which your initiative and willingness to have a go will see you gain valuable skills which will complement the theory you're learning at university. You will work alongside experienced professionals and receive training from an industry leader in a fast‑paced environment, whilst gaining experience in a practical position within your own community.

About you

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic student who can positively contribute to our team. You will be an avid learner with a passion in your field of study and will enjoy learning in a fast‑faced environment and hands on role.

In addition, you will be a friendly and motivated team player that can demonstrate initiative and our values, with well‑developed communication and literacy skills. As a must, you will have experience and can demonstrate your ability to provide positive customer experiences.

You must be able to work a minimum three full working days throughout the week and be enrolled into an arts or creative industries university degree to apply.
