Job summary

NES Fircroft partners with a leading WA gold producer to recruit an experienced Underground Trainer to enhance workforce capability. The role is a permanent position with an 8/6 FIFO roster and a base salary of up to $156,000.

Successful candidates will hold a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, WA Class C licence, and National Police Clearance, with a background in underground gold mining and strong safety compliance knowledge.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is required.
• WA Class C Driver’s Licence is required.
• National Police Clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate training and assessment activities in consultation with supervisors and trainees.
• Deliver site inductions, on-the-job training, and competency assessments.
• Implement retraining plans where competency requirements are not achieved.
• Ensure assessments meet recognised assessment principles and standards.
• Maintain accurate training records and reporting.
• Support workforce competency by ensuring personnel are appropriately trained and verified prior to undertaking tasks.

About You

• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
• Current unrestricted WA Class C Driver’s Licence
• Current National Police Clearance
• Demonstrated experience in the gold mining sector, preferably within underground operations
• Strong working knowledge of WA mining practices and safety compliance requirements
• Confident, clear communicator with proven presentation and stakeholder engagement capability
