Job summary

Westgold Resources Limited is seeking an experienced Underground Trainer for its Northern Region operations on a permanent 8/6 roster. The role coordinates, delivers and assesses training across underground mining, ensuring competency, safety and regulatory compliance.

Strong focus on developing workforce capability and maintaining records. Required are a TA E certification, WA driving licence, police clearance, and underground mining experience or strong safety background.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE) - essential.
• Current unrestricted WA Class C Driver's Licence.
• Current National Police Clearance (within 12 months).
• Previous experience within the gold mining industry, underground preferred.
• Strong knowledge of WA mining safety requirements.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work autonomously.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and training management systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate training and assessment activities with supervisors and trainees.
• Deliver site inductions, on-the-job training and competency assessments.
• Develop and implement retraining plans where competency is lacking.
• Ensure assessments follow recognised principles and standards.
• Maintain accurate training records and reporting within INX InTuition.
• Coordinate induction requirements for new employees and contractors.
