Job summary

Nqm Gold 2 Pty Ltd seeks an Underground Shift Supervisor to oversee underground mining activities, ensuring safe, efficient work in line with company procedures and regulatory requirements.

You will lead crews, drive safety, manage contractor drilling, and foster a culture of continuous improvement across shift operations. The role offers a permanent position on a 7/7 roster with opportunities to develop leadership and site performance.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising underground mining operations.
• Minimum 5 years underground mining experience.
• Strong leadership and crew management skills.
• Experience in health, safety and risk management practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and leadership to underground mining crews.
• Ensure production and development targets are met safely per shift.
• Conduct workplace inspections and maintain records.
• Lead risk assessments and implement effective controls.
• Manage workforce training and competency requirements.
• Supervise underground contractors, including drilling activities.
• Promote a positive safety culture through coaching, communication, and leadership.
• Monitor workplace conditions and stop work when safety risks become unacceptable.
• Support the development and performance of team members.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, productivity, and cost efficiency.
