NQM Gold 2 Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Underground Shift Supervisor to lead underground mining operations at Pajingo. Reporting to the Mine Manager, you will drive safety, production targets, and workforce leadership on a daily basis.

This role focuses on overseeing underground activities, mentoring crews, and contributing to continuous improvement in a dynamic underground operation. A hands-on leader with strong safety culture is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' underground mining experience.
• Strong people leadership and crew management skills.
• Experience in health, safety, and risk management practices.
• Competent with Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and leadership to underground mining crews.
• Ensure production and development targets are achieved safely each shift.
• Conduct workplace inspections and maintain accurate records.
• Lead risk assessments and ensure effective controls are implemented.
• Manage workforce training and competency requirements.
• Supervise contractors working underground, including drilling activities.
• Promote a positive safety culture through coaching and leadership.
• Monitor workplace conditions and stop work when safety risks are unacceptable.
• Support the development and performance of team members.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, productivity, and cost efficiency.

Reporting directly to the Mine Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring daily production targets are achieved while maintaining the highest standards of safety, compliance, and workforce leadership.

About the Role

• Ability to prioritise work, manage competing demands, and make sound decisions.
• Competent computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
