Job summary

Mount Isa Mines is seeking multiple skilled and experienced Special Servicepersons to join the Fill & Services Department at George Fisher Mine. This is an underground position residentially based in Mt Isa with a 7 on 7 off day and night continuous shift.

You will install or repair mine services including vent ducting, 2” and 4’’ poly and also be able to construct bulkheads, install paste fill pipes and fans.

Qualifications

• Current Australian Drivers Licence is required.
• Hard working, reliable and able to work unsupervised.
• Strong focus on safety, quality and efficiency.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Installation and ongoing repair and maintenance of underground vent, air, water and drain reticulation systems.
• Assisting construction crews as required.
• Engaging with department stakeholders to ensure tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
