Job summary

Mount Isa Mines in Mount Isa is seeking multiple skilled Special Servicepersons to join the Fill & Services Department. You will install or repair mine services including vent ducting, 2" and 4'' poly, bulkheads, paste fill pipes and fans in an underground setting.

Reporting to the Fill & Services Supervisor, you will be part of a team ensuring safe, efficient operations. The successful candidate will work on underground vent, air, water and drain reticulation systems, assist construction crews,

Qualifications

• Current Australian Drivers Licence.
• Hard working, reliable and ability to work unsupervised.
• Strong focus on completing the job safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

Job Description

We are looking for experienced and skilled individuals to join us in the roles of a Special Serviceperson within the Fill & Services Department. Reporting to the Fill & Services Supervisor, you will be required to install or repair mine services including vent ducting, 2\" and 4'' poly and also be able to construct bulkheads, install paste fill pipes and fans. Extensive experience in underground services installation and operating a Volvo and/or Caterpillar Integrated Tool Carrier is required. Experience in underground construction, Paste Fill, Hand-held Drilling and Normet Operations is highly desirable.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Installation and ongoing repair and maintenance of underground vent, air, water and drain reticulation systems
• Assisting construction crews as required
• Engaging with a number of department stakeholders to ensure tasks are completed safely and efficiently

Work Environment

Mount Isa Mines are currently seeking multiple skilled and experienced Special Servicepersons, in the Fill & Services Department at George Fisher Mine. This position is an underground position residentially based in Mt Isa. The roster for this role is on a 7 on 7 off day and night continuous shift.
