Job summary

Mount Isa Mines is seeking multiple skilled Special Servicepersons for the George Fisher Mine in Mount Isa, Queensland. These underground roles in the Fill & Services Department require installing or repairing mine services, including vent ducting and bulkheads, with a 7 on 7 off day/night roster.

Reporting to the Fill & Services Supervisor, you will work with underground crews to ensure safe and efficient task completion, with emphasis on safety, reliability, and high performance.

Qualifications

• Current Australian Drivers Licence.

Mount Isa Mines are currently seeking multiple skilled and experienced Special Servicepersons, in the Fill & Services Department at George Fisher Mine. This position is an underground position residentially based in Mt Isa. The roster for this role is on a 7 on 7 off day and night continuous shift.

The Role

We are looking for experienced and skilled individuals to join us in the roles of a Special Serviceperson within the Fill & Services Department. Reporting to the Fill & Services Supervisor, you will be required to install or repair mine services including vent ducting, 2" and 4'' poly and also be able to construct bulkheads, install paste fill pipes and fans. Extensive experience in underground services installation and operating a Volvo and/or Caterpillar Integrated Tool Carrier is required. Experience in underground construction, Paste Fill, Hand-held Drilling and Normet Operations is highly desirable.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Installation and ongoing repair and maintenance of underground vent, air, water and drain reticulation systems
• Assisting construction crews as required
• Engaging with a number of department stakeholders to ensure tasks are completed safely and efficiently
