Job summary

South32 Group Operations Pty. Ltd. is seeking an Operations Scheduling Engineer to support the weekly mining schedule and coordinate with Short-Term Scheduling and Operations teams. The role focuses on driving alignment to the mining schedule and reducing idle time.

The position is permanent with an 8:6 roster, offering FIFO from Brisbane or Townsville or DIDO from Mount Isa, Cloncurry and McKinlay shires. Strong collaboration and problem-solving are essential.

Responsibilities

• Drive weekly schedule execution with daily re-alignment meetings and follow-up actions.
• Act as the daily problem-solver to minimize idle time and resolve issues efficiently.
• Scope work to support weekly and monthly schedule delivery.
• Identify and suggest improvements for underground mining operations.
