Job summary

MMG Limited is seeking a Senior Mining Engineer for Dugald River, to oversee underground development and production planning. The role supports short-term scheduling, liaises with operations, and guides technical planning to meet targets on an 8/6 roster on a bus-in bus-out/ FIFO basis from Cloncurry, Mount Isa, Brisbane, or Townsville.

Ideal candidates hold a B.Sc in Mining Engineering, AusIMM membership, and 4–5+ years in a leadership capacity, with strong planning and operational experience

• AusIMM membership.
• 4-5 years+ mining industry experience in a leadership role.
• Operational and planning experience at a senior level.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the short-term schedule generation, ensuring budget and forecasts are met.
• Interface operations & planning to maintain appropriate activity levels and budgets.
• Develop and maintain site reporting and tracking processes.
• Manage knowledge databases to capture changes, improvements and non‑compliance prevention.
• Improve mining operational efficiencies to deliver budgeted plans.
• Ensure technical planning aspects are managed to KPIs with disciplined practices.
