Job summary

Barminco Pty Ltd, part of the Perenti Group, is seeking an experienced Project Engineer for the Great Fingall Operation on an 8/6 FIFO roster from Perth. You will report to the Project Manager and provide technical expertise, monitor performance, support cost management initiatives and ensure mining activities align with contract requirements and project objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mining Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in underground hard rock mining operations.
• Underground Supervisors Certificate of Competency or First Class Mine Manager's Certificate of Competency highly regarded.
• Strong knowledge of underground mining methods, planning processes and operational performance management.
• Demonstrated experience with budgeting, forecasting and cost control.
• Experience liaising effectively with clients, technical services teams and operational personnel.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and report on production and development performance to ensure targets are achieved.
• Develop understanding of site contracts, management plans and operational requirements for compliance.
• Maintain relationships with client representatives and technical services personnel.
• Identify and implement cost reduction and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Prepare monthly operational, KPI and performance reports.
• Assist with budget preparation, forecasting and monitoring site expenditure.
• Support submission of monthly client claims and revenue forecasts.
• Review excavation and stope performance for design and contract compliance.
• Promote safe work practices and assist with incident investigations.
