Job summary

Barminco is seeking an Underground Electrician to support mining operations across Western Australia. You’ll install, maintain, and repair underground electrical systems, ensuring safe, reliable power for production and equipment.

Qualifications

• Underground electrician with proven experience in mining environments.
• Valid Electrical License and WA Electrical Contractors license number.
• High voltage switching certificate (desirable within 2 years).

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair underground electrical systems, including power, lighting, and control circuits
• Diagnose and fault-find electrical issues to minimise downtime and keep operations running safely
• Conduct routine inspections, testing, and preventative maintenance on underground equipment
• Ensure all work complies with safety regulations, procedures, and electrical standards
• Collaborate with supervisors and other trades to support daily production and maintenance activities
• Complete job documentation, reports, and isolation procedures accurately and on time
