Job summary

Barminco is seeking an Underground Electrician to support our Western Australian mining operations. You will install, maintain and repair underground electrical systems, ensuring safe, reliable power for ongoing operations.

Qualifications

• Underground mining electrical experience is desirable.
• Current Electrical License and WA Contractors license.
• HV switching certificate within 2 years is preferred.
• Ability to meet site access requirements (medical, DAS, NPC and licence).

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair underground electrical systems, including power, lighting, and control circuits.
• Diagnose and fault-find electrical issues to minimise downtime and keep operations safe.
• Conduct routine inspections, testing, and preventative maintenance on underground equipment.
• Ensure all work complies with safety regulations, procedures, and electrical standards.
• Collaborate with supervisors and other trades to support daily production and maintenance activities.
• Complete job documentation, reports, and isolation procedures accurately and on time.

Trade qualification as Electrician

Electrical License

WA Electrical Contractors license
