Job summary

Barminco is seeking an experienced Project Engineer for the Great Fingall Operation on an 8/6 FIFO roster from Perth. The role reports to the Project Manager and supports safe, productive, and profitable underground mining operations.

Responsibilities include monitoring production, cost control, budgeting, planning, and client liaison. Requires a Mining Engineering degree, 5+ years in underground hard rock mining, and relevant certificates; C-Class licence is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mining Engineering.
• 5+ years' experience in underground hard rock mining operations.
• Underground Supervisors Certificate of Competency or First Class Mine Manager's Certificate of Competency highly regarded.
• Current C Class Driver's Licence.
• Strong knowledge of underground mining methods, planning processes and operational performance management.
• Experience budgeting, forecasting and cost control.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and relationship-building abilities.
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and report on production and development performance to meet contractual and client targets.
• Develop understanding of site contracts and management plans to ensure compliance.
• Maintain relationships with client representatives and technical services personnel.
• Identify and implement cost reduction and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Prepare and deliver monthly operational, KPI and performance reports.
• Assist with budget preparation, forecasting and monitoring site expenditure.
• Support monthly client claims and revenue forecasts.
