Job summary

Aurelia Metals Limited in NSW is seeking a Mining Engineer to lead Mid-Term Planning for Peak Mine. You will develop mine designs and schedules that balance production with underground constraints, collaborating with operations, geology, maintenance and ventilation teams.

This role offers exposure to long-term planning, budgeting and reserve forecasting, with a focus on safe, practical, and efficient outcomes. Relocation support and a family-friendly environment are available.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mining Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Prior experience in a mining engineering planning role.
• Experience in underground mine design and scheduling.
• Experience developing medium to long-term mine plans.
• Proficiency using Deswik CAD, Deswik UGDB and Deswik Sched.
• Strong understanding of underground mining methods and planning principles.
• Experience contributing to budgeting, forecasting and reserve planning activities.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across Technical Services and Operations teams.
• Commercial awareness with a focus on safe, practical and efficient mining outcomes.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Develop mine designs and schedules balancing production with underground constraints.
• Work closely with operations, geology, maintenance and ventilation teams.
• Determine how and when orebody is extracted, ensuring plans are achievable and safe.
• Align planning with business objectives and operational outcomes underground.
• Apply collaborative, cross-discipline thinking to long-term mine planning.
