Anglo American's Grosvenor Mine in Moranbah is seeking an experienced Mining Engineer / Technical Services Engineer to help restart and operate an underground coal mine. The role covers ventilation, gas drainage, mine planning, operations and technical projects, driving safe, compliant production and continuous improvements.
You will work with cross-functional teams to develop practical engineering plans, analyze data, and implement new technologies while maintaining safety and production
Qualifications
- Degree in Mining Engineering or related field.
- Experience underground coal mining, especially ventilation/gas drainage/mine planning.
- Familiarity with development and longwall mining methods.
- Experience with mine planning/design/scheduling software.
Responsabilités
- Coordinate inputs from ventilation, gas management, geology, geotechnical and survey specialists.
- Support the Ventilation department with project scoping, project management, complex problem solving.
- Monitor and report on critical control implementation
- Contribute to daily, weekly, monthly and longer-term planning and technical documentation.
- Develop and maintain mine designs, production schedules and supporting documentation.
- Provide engineering support to development and longwall teams.
- Analyse production data, investigate variances and propose improvements.
