Anglo American’s Grosvenor Mine in Moranbah seeks an experienced Geotechnical Engineer to join on a permanent basis. You will guide geotechnical strategies for underground operations, design support and monitoring systems, and audit compliance to corporate standards.

The role requires strong planning, problem solving and mentoring capabilities. Reporting to the Technical Services Superintendent, you will work with Operations and Compliance to optimise ground conditions, safety and productivity.

Formación

• Strategic geotechnical advisory to Technical Services, Operations and Compliance.
• Underground coal experience in a geotechnical role is essential.
• Experience with design, monitoring and audits against standards.
• Proven ability to provide data-driven insights for mine design and safety.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain geotechnical oversight of underground operations and audit compliance.
• Design ground support and monitoring systems for safe, productive mining.
• Conduct regular underground inspections to verify strata conditions.
• Provide strategic advice to maximise operation value and safety.
• Mentor staff on strata support systems and geotechnical practices.
