Job summary

Anglo American's Grosvenor Mine in Moranbah is seeking an experienced Mining Engineer / Technical Services Engineer to support the safe restart and future operation of the underground coal mine. You will work across ventilation, gas drainage, mine planning, operations and technical projects to develop feasible plans and practical solutions that enhance safety and production.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities required.
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly across teams.

• Experience in underground coal mining and ventilation/gas drainage would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate inputs from ventilation, gas management, geology, geotechnical and survey specialists.
• Support ventilation projects with scoping and management.
• Monitor and report on critical control implementation.
• Contribute to daily, weekly, monthly and longer-term planning with technical requirements.
• Develop and maintain mine designs, production schedules and supporting documentation.
• Work with development and longwall teams to provide engineering support.
• Analyse production data and investigate variances to improve performance.
• Undertake underground inspections to validate assumptions and identify opportunities.
• Assist with engineering projects, trials and new technology integration.
• Incorporate risk assessments and site requirements into plans and activities.
