Job summary

Anglo American’s Grosvenor Mine in Moranbah, Queensland, is recruiting multiple Underground Operators within Development. You will safely operate underground mining equipment and support development activities while upholding safety standards to help the mine move towards a zero-harm culture.

Roster is 7 on, 7 off (day/night or afternoon/night). Subsidised accommodation and an attractive salary with bonus are available, with screening and background checks as part of the process.

Qualifications

• Underground mining experience and knowledge of the coal mining process and relevant legislation.
• Current Coal Board medical and Standard 11 are required.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver targets as part of a professional team.
• Strong work ethic with a drive for continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a variety of underground mining equipment.
• Maintain a safe and productive mining environment.
• Support roadway development and mining activities.
• Complete equipment inspections and address maintenance or safety concerns.
• Follow site procedures, production plans and statutory requirements.
• Work with on-shift peers to maintain safety and productivity.
• Apply Anglo American standards and procedures consistently.
