Job summary

Prominent Hill, a well-established underground copper–gold operation within BHP's Minerals Australia, seeks an experienced Mine Manager to lead through transformation and growth. You will guide safe, reliable production and oversee the transition to higher capacity as PHOX progresses, working with a broad team of BHP and contractor staff.

Reporting to the General Manager Prominent Hill, you will shape operating disciplines, drive performance, and ensure alignment across technical services,

Qualifications

• Experience in senior underground mining operations leadership.
• Proven ability to lead large contractor teams and align owner/contractor goals.
• Tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering, Engineering, Geology, or related discipline.
• First Class Mine Manager's Certificate of Competency or eligibility for SA qualification.

Responsibilities

• Provide safety leadership and embed risk management and operational discipline.
• Lead and influence a diverse workforce including owner and contractor teams.
• Oversee safe, reliable and cost-effective underground mining at Prominent Hill.
• Drive PHOX expansion integration and transition to a hoisting-led operating model.
• Collaborate with Technical Services, Planning and Processing to optimise performance.
• Strengthen contractor partnerships and align to BHP standards.
