Job summary

South32 is recruiting for two 24‑month Fixed Term Contract positions on an 8:6 roster, FIFO from Brisbane, Townsville/Cairns, or DIDO from Mount Isa, Cloncurry and McKinlay shires.

As the Supervisor Underground Projects (Mechanical), you will deliver mechanical capital projects through the execution phase, ensuring safe outcomes, contractor performance, schedule adherence and a clean handover to operations.

Qualifications

• Underground supervision experience in mining or complex operations.
• Experience delivering construction or capital projects in mining or heavy industry.
• Strong stakeholder relationships across operations and contractors.
• Experience planning and prioritising competing project activities.
• Excellent communication and influencing across diverse groups.

Responsibilities

• Deliver mechanical capital projects through execution phase with safe outcomes.
• Ensure contractor performance, schedule adherence and budget control.
• Handover to operations with complete documentation.
• Coordinate project variations and maintain project records.
