Job summary

Peabody Energy is seeking an experienced Outbye Belt Fitter to join the Centurion Mine team in Queensland. You will inspect, maintain and repair underground conveyor belt systems and related equipment, ensuring safety and reliability to support production.

This hands-on role requires a strong belt maintenance background, fault-finding skills, and the ability to work in an underground mining environment. 7/7 roster and relocation options are offered.

Qualifications

• Five years' experience as Mechanical Technician/Fitter in underground mining.
• Extensive experience maintaining underground conveyor belt systems.
• Experience installing and replacing belt clips.
• Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding in conveyor systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair underground conveyor belt systems and related equipment.
• Perform preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance.
• Inspect belts, drive units, gearboxes, rollers and pulleys; ensure safe operation.
