Peabody seeks an experienced Outbye Belt Fitter for Centurion Mine. This underground role focuses on inspection, maintenance and optimisation of conveyor belt systems to keep production safe and reliable.

You will fault-find, repair and improve belt systems, working closely with the Outbye team and supervision. Ideal candidates bring extensive underground conveyor knowledge, strong safety focus and the ability to read drawings, with a 7/7 roster and relocation/flexibility options to suit site

Formación

• Underground belt technician/fitter with 5+ years in underground mining.
• Extensive experience maintaining underground conveyor belt systems.
• Experience installing and replacing belt clips.
• Proficient in belt tracking, splicing, troubleshooting and fault finding.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and schematics.
• Strong safety leadership and risk management.

Responsabilidades

• Perform planned, preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance across underground conveyor systems.
• Inspect, maintain and repair conveyors, drive units and roll components.
• Carry out belt tracking, splicing, and belt repairs.
• Identify opportunities to improve reliability and reduce downtime.
• Support shutdown planning and maintenance activities.
