Job summary

Argo Natural Resources is identifying experienced Underground Coal Operators for Ironbark No.1 in Queensland. The role focuses on safely achieving production targets and supporting site operations with daily planning and execution of tasks from weekly schedules.

Qualifying candidates will have extensive underground mining experience, Standard 11, relevant tickets, and a proven safe work history, plus strong teamwork and communication skills to thrive in a collaborative environment.

Argo Natural Resources is a rising leader in Queensland's metallurgical coal mining industry. From revitalising Carborough Downs underground mine to reinvigorating the Broadlea open cut, our next major milestone is the Ironbark No.1 project - Australia’s newest longwall mine.

About the role

We currently have multiple exciting and rewarding opportunities at Ironbark No.1 operation for experienced Underground Coal Operators.

You will be reporting to the ERZ Controller and be responsible to work towards production targets safely and support efficiencies in all associated functions whilst undertaking relevant tasks. You will be involved in the preparation, planning and timely executive of daily work as issued from the approved weekly schedules.

Key Responsibilities of the role will include:

• Working safely and efficiently in all associated functions, to support the achievement of production targets and undertake any other tasks for the operations.

• Preparation, planning and timely execution of daily work as issued from the approved weekly schedules.

• Contributing to the development of a safe, positive, and collaborative organisational culture.

• Provide a daily shift report, indicating the results of routine examinations carried out on the shift, any defects found and/or repaired, hours worked on each job, and an assessment of the relevant piece of equipment where required.

• Demonstrated experienced as Underground Mineworker in a Coal Mine.

• Previous experience on Joy Miners, 12cm12 and 12cm30’s.
