Job summary

Argo Natural Resources is hiring for underground coal operators at the Ironbark No.1 operation in Moranbah, Queensland. The role reports to the ERZ Controller and focuses on achieving production targets safely while supporting efficiency across related functions.

Ideal candidates will have extensive underground experience with Joy Miners and the 12cm12/12cm30 equipment, standard 11 tickets, and a proven safety record.

Qualifications

Job description

Argo Natural Resources is a rising leader in Queensland's metallurgical coal mining industry. From revitalising Carborough Downs underground mine to reinvigorating the Broadlea open cut, our next major milestone is the Ironbark No.1 project - Australia’s newest longwall mine.

About the role

We currently have multiple exciting and rewarding opportunities at Ironbark No.1 operation for experienced Underground Coal Operators. You will be reporting to the ERZ Controller and be responsible to work towards production targets safely and support efficiencies in all associated functions whilst undertaking relevant tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Working safely and efficiently in all associated functions, to support the achievement of production targets and undertake any other tasks for the operations.
• Preparation, planning and timely execution of daily work as issued from the approved weekly schedules.
• Contributing to the development of a safe, positive, and collaborative organisational culture.
• Provide a daily shift report, indicating the results of routine examinations carried out on the shift, any defects found and/or repaired, hours worked on each job, and an assessment of the relevant piece of equipment where required.
• Demonstrated experienced as Underground Mineworker in a Coal Mine.
• Previous experience on Joy Miners, 12cm12 and 12cm30’s.
