Catalyst Metals Limited is seeking a Charge-Up Operator for underground blasting at the Plutonic Gold Mine, FIFO from Perth on an 8:6 7:7 roster. You will load blast holes, charge headings to design specs and ensure safe, compliant operations in challenging underground conditions.

Qualifications

• Experience in underground charge-up or blasting operations is required.
• Strong safety culture and adherence to procedures are essential.
• Ability to work accurately in high-risk environments with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport, handle and charge explosives in underground environments.
• Load blast holes to design specifications in development and production headings.
• Install and connect initiation systems per procedures.
• Conduct pre-charge inspections and verify ground conditions.
• Ensure compliance with explosive handling regulations and site procedures.
• Collaborate with drillers, supervisors and blasting engineers.
• Maintain records of explosive usage and blast loading.
• Support safe blast clearance and firing procedures.
