Job summary

Barminco, part of the Perenti Group, seeks a Charge Up Operator to support underground blasting across multiple Western Australia sites. You will load and manage explosives, align with blast designs, and follow safety procedures in a heavy underground environment.

The role demands underground Charge Up experience, an Australian Shotfirer’s Licence, DGSC, and knowledge of Mine Safety Act. Competitive pay, rosters, FIFO/DIDO options, and career progression are offered.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an underground mining Charge Up Operator.
• Australian recognised Shotfirer’s Licence and DGSC are required.
• Understanding of the Mine Safety and Inspection Act & Regulations.

Responsibilities

• Carry out development and production charging activities.
• Safely and efficiently handle, transport and store explosives and blasting agents.
• Implement site blasting.
• Prepare blast holes in line with site standards to minimise misfires and optimise explosives use.
