Job summary

Barminco is seeking a Cable Bolter to support underground mining operations across Western Australia. The role involves installing cable bolts to reinforce ground stability and ensuring overall safety on site.

You will operate bolting equipment, drill and install cable bolts, and follow ground support plans with a strong emphasis on safety. FIFO/DIDO options, competitive pay, and ongoing training are offered across multiple WA sites.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in underground mining roles in ground support or production roles.
• Exposure to operating cable bolting or similar equipment.
• Strong understanding of underground mining processes and safety standards.
• Valid Driver’s Licence and relevant mining certifications.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and follow detailed mine plans.

Responsibilities

• Operate cable bolting equipment to install ground support in underground headings.
• Drill holes and install cable bolts, grout, and plates to stabilise rock surfaces.
• Read and follow ground support plans, standards, and supervisor instructions.
• Conduct pre-start checks and routine maintenance on cable bolting machinery.
• Monitor ground conditions and report hazards or changes to the supervisor.
• Work safely within underground procedures, isolations, and safety systems.
