Northern Star Mining Services Limited is seeking an Operator – Cable Bolter to join our Kalgoorlie underground operations. You will install cable bolts and ground support, ensuring alignment with mine plans and safety standards, using Sandvik DS422i equipment.

The role requires at least 3 years in underground mining with cable bolter experience, strong plan interpretation, and a valid C-class license. Kalgoorlie residential or FIFO from Perth, 7/7 roster, with career development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of proven experience operating a cable bolter in underground mining (Sandvik DS422i or DS22L experience desirable).
• Ability to interpret cable bolt layouts and plans.
• Strong understanding of ground support standards and safe work practices.
• Unencumbered manual C class drivers license.
• Working at Heights Certificate desirable.
• Current Dangerous Goods Security Card desirable.

Responsibilities

• Install cable bolts and ground support in line with mine plans and safety standards.
• Operate Sandvik DS422i underground and monitor ground conditions.
• Maintain ground stability and safe underground operations.

You’ll play a key role in maintaining ground stability and supporting safe underground operations with state-of-the-art equipment including brand new Sandvik DS422i.
