Job summary

WS Remedial Group is seeking an Undergraduate Assistant Accountant to join our team on a part-time basis. The role offers 24 hours per week at $33-$35 per hour plus superannuation, with flexible days around studies.

You will assist with day-to-day financial administration across a busy construction business operating in Queensland and New South Wales. Training and support from an experienced team are provided to develop practical accounting skills.

Qualifications

• Currently studying a Bachelor of Accounting, Commerce or a related qualification.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Confident using Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Organised and able to manage competing priorities.
• Willing to learn and take ownership of assigned tasks.
• Previous accounts or administration experience is desirable but not essential.
• Construction industry experience would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with accounts payable and receivable
• Processing invoices, purchase orders and expense claims
• Completing data entry and maintaining accurate financial records
• Assisting with bank and account reconciliations
• Supporting payroll and general accounts administration
• Preparing spreadsheets, reports and supporting documentation
• Following up outstanding financial information when required
• Assisting the Accounts team with other duties as needed
