Job summary

Monash College is seeking an experienced Team Leader, Guardianship & U18 Student Welfare to lead high-quality pastoral care for students under 18. The role supports transitions to independent living, manages complex welfare matters, and coordinates the Guardianship team across Monash University campuses.

Reporting to the Associate Director, Student Support Services, you will oversee wellbeing, safety and program delivery, while ensuring compliance with ESOS and the National Code.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in education or international education.
• Experience in a team leadership or supervisory role.
• Knowledge of ESOS and the National Code.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the Guardianship team, providing direction and feedback for high-quality service delivery.
• Oversee wellbeing, safety and transition of U18 students, developing effective processes and initiatives.
• Manage complex student welfare matters and critical incidents, including risk assessment and escalation.
• Build stakeholder relationships with students, parents, accommodation providers, agents and internal teams.
• Coordinate support for students at risk, including attendance monitoring and formal processes.
• Coordinate U18 student programs and communications, including orientation and information across channels.
• Oversee student records, reporting and data integrity, using insights for planning and improvement.
• Manage accommodation and welfare matters with providers to address issues such as curfew and wellbeing.
• Maintain compliance with ESOS, the National Code and other requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement in processes, systems and service delivery.
