Indie Education in Melbourne is seeking a dedicated Welfare Manager to lead our welfare program on a permanent full-time basis. You will oversee recruitment, training, and performance of Welfare staff while ensuring compliance with child safety standards and statutory reporting across states.

You will collaborate with site managers to tailor welfare delivery to local student contexts, conduct regular supervision sessions, and drive continuous improvement in wellbeing services.

Qualifikationen

• Proven experience in managing employees and welfare programs.
• Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills for stakeholder collaboration.
• Understanding of school systems and child welfare requirements.
• Willingness to travel regularly to multiple sites as required.

Aufgaben

• Act as primary line manager for Welfare employees, including recruitment, onboarding, supervision and performance management.
• Lead welfare staff reviews and ensure consistent welfare KPI delivery across Indie locations.
• Ensure all welfare operations comply with Child Safe Standards and reporting obligations across Australian jurisdictions.
• Maintain knowledge of state child safety standards and mandatory reporting protocols.
• Collaborate with School Site Managers to align welfare delivery with local student context.
• Plan and conduct structured supervision sessions for Welfare Officers and Seniors.
• Coordinate leave approvals, staff coverage, and contingency planning for incidents affecting welfare.
