The Spirited Goat in Townsville is seeking passionate and reliable Chefs/Cooks to join our team across The Precinct - Idalia, and The Strand. We serve breakfast, lunch and dinner in a busy, quality focused kitchen.

We value hard work, reliability and a positive attitude. Candidates should have Commercial Cookery qualifications (Certificate III or above) and experience in a commercial kitchen. Weekend/evening availability is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a commercial kitchen.
• Must hold a recognised Commercial Cookery qualification (Certificate III or above).
• Reliable and hardworking with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Enforce hygiene and food safety regulations.
• Train and support cooks, kitchen hands and other kitchen staff.
• Oversee and manage day-to-day kitchen operations, including stock ordering.
• Design, prepare and create high-quality dishes for customers.
• Ensure kitchen and equipment comply with hygiene and safety regulations.
• Ensure food is properly preserved and stored in appropriate facilities.
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe kitchen.
