GE Vernova in Australia seeks a Travelling Wind Farm Service Technician to provide on-site technical leadership, perform maintenance and rapid troubleshooting across our national wind farm fleet. This role requires frequent travel to multiple sites and close collaboration with site management, engineering teams, and clients to maximize turbine availability.

Key responsibilities include HV switching, fault finding, and adherence to EHS/QA procedures, with on-call weekends/nights as required.

Qualificações

• Registered Workers License Electrical (A-Grade) or equivalent.
• Five years minimum experience in Onshore Wind or similar heavy industry.
• Electrical Supervisor nomination under Registered Electrical Contractors license.
• Understanding of basic AC/DC electrical circuits and ability to perform circuit analysis (24VDC, 166VDC, 120, 230, 400, 575, 690VAC).
• Experience in High Voltage switching and operations.
• Current High Voltage operating certificate or ability to gain one.
• Proficient in fault finding electrical and hydraulic equipment.
• Must be able to climb wind turbines and perform physically demanding tasks at heights.
• Experience working in remote locations and autonomously.
• Willing to travel >65% of the year.

Responsabilidades

• Interpret and implement GEV manuals, specifications, and work instructions.
• Perform maintenance and fault finding on assets.
• Act as site HVOA Delegate when required.
• Attend HV switching operations per site procedures.
• Ensure work complies with SWMS, LOTO, EHS & QA/QC policies.
• Maintain reports using GEV software management tools and databases.
• Collaborate with Management, Engineering, Sourcing and Service Teams.
