Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a Travel Wind Farm Service Technician to provide critical operational support across the fleet, balancing maintenance, fault finding, and rapid troubleshooting of electrical assets. You will lead on-site technical activities and liaise with site management, engineering teams and clients to maximise turbine availability.

Role requires on-site capability, on-call weekends/nights as directed, and travel >65% of the year.

Qualifications

• Must hold a registered Workers License Electrical (A-Grade or equivalent).
• Experience in Onshore Wind sector or similar heavy industry (5 years minimum) is highly regarded.
• Nominated Electrical Supervisor under REC license and qualified supervisor responsibilities.
• Understanding of basic AC/DC electrical circuits and ability to perform circuit analysis (24VDC, 166VDC, 120, 230, 400, 575, 690VAC).
• HV switching and operations experience.

Responsibilities

• Interpret GEV manuals, specifications, bulletins and complete tasks per work instructions.
• Perform maintenance and fault finding of assets.
• Act as site HVOA Delegate when required.
• Nominated as the Electrical Supervisor and Nominated Qualified Supervisor - Electrical for the company.
• Perform High Voltage switching operations per site procedures.
• Ensure work complies with SWMS, LOTO, EHS & QA/QC policies.
• Maintain reports using GEV systems and assist Engineering to resolve issues.
• Collaborate with Management, Engineering, Sourcing and Service Teams.
• Champion Safety and participate in EHS audits.
